Since founded, LPUPC has always adhered to the "Integrity first, science and technology based" as the core of management, the “Special lubricating oil additives, Synthetic material additives, Functional chemicals OEM/ODM" as the three main roads of development. Relying on the strong R&D teams, LPUPC continuously improves its scientific & technological strength and competitiveness.

The founder of LPUPC graduated from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2007 with a doctor's degree. He has been committed to the research of fine petrochemical and tribochemistry for a long time. LPUPC has a high-level R&D team of more than 30 people (4 PhD, 7 Master, including 2 senior titles). The R&D center has a building area of more than 2000 square meters, equipped with complete synthesis and testing equipment, and included a pilot test platform. The company possesses more than 200 equipment such as special pilot workshops, high performance liquid chromatograph, gas chromatograph, ultraviolet spectrophotometer, moisture meter, melting point meter, chroma meter, rotary evaporator, and fixed assets of more than 10 million yuan.

Under the guidance of the company's strategy, the R&D Center has formulated the functional orientation of "strengthening platform construction, cultivating core technology, based on process optimization, serving the production market, developing innovative products and leading market demand". Since its establishment, the R&D team has successively developed more than 100 products and authorized 13 national patents. In 2015, it was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission to set up the "Fine Organic molybdenum and tungsten Engineering Laboratory of Henan Province"; in 2019, it was approved by the Luoyang Science and Technology Bureau to set up the "Luoyang Special Lubrication Materials Enterprise R&D Center"; in 2020, it was approved by the Henan Science and Technology Department to build the "Henan Molybdenum (Tungsten) Lubrication Materials Engineering Technology Research Center"; in 2022, it was recognized as a "National high-tech enterprise" by Ministry of Science and Technology.

In addition, LPUPC has signed long-term strategic cooperation with Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai Institute of Technology, East China Jiaotong University, PetroChina Lanzhou Lubricant Research and Development Center, and Luoyang Institute of Technology.
